i know I’m behind and I’m at work and don’t see a search bar on my phone. If this is the wrong forum for this please feel free to love it but it really deals with strategy rather than parking.
I understand we have to pay to park at the resorts now even if staying there. Is it a 1 time fee or do we pay every time we move the vehicle? Do we also have to pay to park at the theme parks? Each visit (per day)?
Has this made the buses more or less crowded or is there no change at all. I’m still trying to figure out my early reservations and in the past we’ve had bus issues so I’m trying to figure out what to do. Thanks! Also if we are staying at the Art of Animation but we have reservations for the Grand Floridian do we have to pay for that as well?

You pay the fee per night, and it's added to your bill at check-out. Doesn't matter if you park and never move your car, or if you drive it everyday.

As a resort guest, you still get free parking at the theme parks.

You would not have to pay for parking at GF for a meal/spa reservation, but you would only get like 3 hours to park there.

The parking fee is per night regardless of how many times you move your car. So at Art of Animation it would be $13 x number of nights booked. You do not pay to park at the theme parks as an onsite guest nor do you pay to park to visit another resort to shop or dine. I believe moderate hotels are $19/night and deluxe $24/night.

We may have an issue with the spa/dining reservation. The girls have reservations at the Ivy Trellis for their princess dos at 2 and dining reservations at 1900 Park Fare at 4:05 to see Cinderella. Sure to be longer than 3 hours.

Just park at the TTC, and monorail around to the GF. Or, take a bus from AoA to MK, and monorail to the GF.

What's your plan for after 1900PF?

Since you have an ADR for 4:05, you're good for 3 hours from then. No worries.

The GF is the one hotel I HATE to park at since the lot we get sent to is across the street and I hate the walk.

I would rather take Disney transportation, especially if I plan to go to a park after. Be a pain to move my car.

I agree if you have two reservations you should be fine for the time frame here.

Question? Will you then be leaving in your car after dinner? If going to the park, that is where it gets sticky.

I don’t know. We thought about hopping to a park. We are going to see what we get for FPS but we thought me might go over to AK for the nighttime lights and events. We are doing the MNSSHP and we have a full on MK day so probably not that park

As others have said, with Ivy Trellis reservations followed by a 4:05 1900 ADR, you shouldn't have a problem parking at GF for the duration of your time there. You can then simply drive over to AK from there.

The walk doesn’t bother me too much because the grounds are so pretty. Last time we we’re there 3 late teens early twenty somethings were having a great time posing in some of the garden areas. My granddaughter wanted to know if they were princesses. Why yes they were! Aren’t you so lucky to see princesses in the garden!
Thank you all for your input. I will look at Disney’s transport. Where do the buses let you off? At MK or the transportation center?

ETA I remember they let you off at the entrance the bus drop off for AoA is pretty far from the entrance. All the way to the back right.

You can always check with the guard at the entrance to the parking lot. If he/she thinks you might have a problem, you could choose to valet park for the day. That will be $33 for parking.

I think you'll be fine if you have reservations for both. I just returned and didn't have a car, but my friend met us the last few days of our trip and did have a car. We drove to the Poly for an O'hana reservation and the guard did scan my magic band to confirm the reservation, but we were let in with no problem or charge once he confirmed that we did in fact have a reservation.

There is no mention of a time limit for day guests to park at the resorts on Disney's website page about parking. Some parking guards have reportedly said the 3 hour thing verbally, and some resorts may have signs that indicate that. For some resorts, 3 hours isn't going to cut it anyway as they have business conventions and other activities that day guests have to park there for. Whether there is or isn't a time limit, I have read no mention of it being enforced in any way. Keep in mind that if you do park at TTC that you would have to go thru security check to get onto the monorail, so allow time.

Is this a way of trying to control the people who park at the resorts and ride the buses? Has this affected the crowds on buses; more, less or about the same?

It’s a way of controlling off site guests who park at the resorts to avoid paying for parking. It’s esp a problem at the MK and Epcot resorts.
