?Paying OOP for Meals on dining plan

I have purchased the dining plan and I am finding myself leaning towards alot of signature restaurants, I am travelling solo and sharing meals is not an option,I am wondering if other people have purchased a few TS meals while on the dining plan?I really want to try the nicer TS restaurants and I am resort hopping(4 times) so I won't have all my credits at the beginning of my vacation otherwise I might eliminate some 1 ts credits I have planned.I don't think I will use many CS meals because I have so many TS
meals planned.Please tell me if I am crazy?I love good food!!!!!!!

Since you are paying $35 per day for the dining plan, I would just make sure that you are still saving money by purchasing some meals out of pocket.

We are purchasing several meals OOP - basically 1 each day since we like to eat b'fast, lunch and dinner. Lunch will use our CS, dinner will use TS, and we'll pay OOP for character b'fast since it's cheaper than our dinners.

We are purchasing 2 meal OOP because we have chosen one signature restaurant, and also have one extra meal planned. I looked at the prices of the meals, and have chosen the least expensive for the OOP. We are not counting on sharing a meal to save credits. It still was worth the cost for us.

We are purchasing about 4 meals OOP. The funny thing is that it is the signature dinners. I just can't see myself eating that much food for the double credits! After I counted up all of our ADR's I saw that we were 4 meals over -- oh well! That's what Disney reward dollars are for, right?

Thanks for the replies,I am not a big eater but I really want to try alot of the signature restaurants,the dining plan just makes it easier to enjoy some really nice restaurants and alot of my meals are already paid for so it won't be too bad paying for a couple of quality meals oop and I will know which restaurants I want to return to on my next visit.

I sat down and figured out prices for meals using allearsnet.com and concluded it was a better deal for us to pay OOP for our two signature resturant meals and use all of our TS credits for character meals and 1 TS meals.
