Paying online

I have been trying to pay online since the new website was launched and I get an error message every time? Is anyone else having this problem or could it be because I booked through a travel agent? I have my reservation number and I can access my reservation but whenever I try to pay I get that pesky error message?

Any payments must be made through your Travel Agent, since you used one. You can't pay directly.

Shmoo is absolutely correct. But aside from the need for you to go through a TA, DCL has been having ALL sorts of problems with their website for some time now. I still cannot access my Castaway Club much of the time. :sad2:

Because the computer can only be told to recognize that something wasn't done correctly, not what the actual error was.

The Castaway Club area on the DCL website is having some "known issues". At least that's what I was told when I contacted them to ask why my Platinum status dropped back to Gold (even though it still shows I have 10 cruises). The word is "they know about the issue, and there is no time frame they can say it will be fixed by". :sad2:

This is true in most cases. The exception to this is if you are paying for your cruise with money saved in a Disney Vacation Account, you need to call DCL yourself and make the payment, not have your TA make the payment for you. The number to call for the cruise line (or other Disney properties) is in the FAQs on the DVA site.
 
I was getting this error when I logged in first and then tried to pay. With out logging in, I went to the right and went to My Disney Cruise and then Make a Payment, it prompted me to log in there. No problems. It's a weird quirky thing but try that and see if it works for you.
 
I'm wondering why they couldn't leave the original DCL website alone? The new one is awful. There is very little on there. Gone are the many of the photos and videos, menus and lots of the little touches that made it nice to navigate. The only good about it is that you can see all the dates on one page and that's about it. If I were new to DCL this website sure wouldn't sell me on it. Very underwhelmed!
