Paying it forward

I love the generousity of those from the DIS on VMK. For me, it all began with TinkerTraci giving me a tour and a teleporter. Her generousity was contageous. As I began to acquire VMK "treasures", I quickly found it fun to give these "treasures" to guests just starting out. Most guests seem to really appreciate it. (Although I have aquired a few friends who became leaches for free stuff.) Anyway, last night MissBelle gave me some free purple furniture for my room. I was so appreciative of her giving spirit, she is the best. I ended up giving away a princess dress and shoes to someone who really wanted it. It was so nice to pass it along to someone who really appreciated it. Let's keep up the giving spirit. Its fun!

I couldn't agree more.

The same thing happened to me my second day playing.

I asked "Trixxie" where she had gotten her "Happiest Celebration On Earth" pin, and she said it was one you could get only by going to one of the parks. Well, living no where near a park, I figured I'd never have a chance of getting that pin.

Then she asked me if I wanted to trade for it!

Being in the game for only two days, you really don't have a chance to accumulate much, so I asked what she wanted in return. She said "Anything".

I offered what I thought was the best thing I had, which was a treasure chest couch (from the cereal code). Looking back on it, I now know that it's not worth much and I'm sure she had plenty of these, but she said "Cool!" and the trade was done.

In short, she pretty much just gave me the pin, and it's that kind of generosity that I'm hoping to spread around as well, as soon as I can accumulate enough things. (And with this mule thing, you can get some pretty good "presents" for 2,050 credits.)

I've enjoy trying to win magic pins on my other characters and giving them to people. I am going to do the VMK tour twice more this year, and look forward to giving away the loot when I return
