Paying it back!

Your designs are great! I have to tell you that I just LOVE the MM...bloom where you are planted.

You will not believe this, but we lost our home a couple of years ago when my husband was battling a brain tumor and we are living somewhere that I really don't want to live and I have basically refused to even decorate the house....just have the furniture in here....don't get me wrong, I am very thankful that I have my husband and he is doing well and that we have this house, but well it's not our "home" ya know?! Well someone close to me just yesterday told me that I needed to plant some flowers or hang some baskets outside and that it would make me feel better. I didn't say anything and she said, "Sweetie, you have to bloom where you're planted"......can you even believe that....well, this morning I went to Home Depot and bought several potted plants/flowers for my porch....then I come on here and there is your design! My mouth literally fell open....I immediately called my friend and we are leaving now to go buy shirts for both of us to iron this on!

Thank you so much for sharing these designs! I also am going to do one with the "Enjoy the Bare Necessities of Life"....hope this doesn't sound to corny, but you really touched my heart with these!

LauraL I think this is the one you were talking about for the kids. I just flipped it for you. I know how frustrating it can be when you want to get something done. You can use this one for now and it will give you time to play around with Word until you find out the "magic" that makes your program flip.

thebeachdreamer I am so honored your shared your story with me. You will not believe it but my father's side of the family has a long history of brain tumors, so I know how difficult that time in someone's life can be. The hoping and praying that everything will go alright in surgery, then spending time praying recovery will go as planned, and then watching for months and years to make sure nothing returns.

I also know the not wanting to plant your roots in hopes that you will move on to something bigger or better. My resolve was just to give up and get settled because who knows what tomorrow will bring?

I also have a really great friend who brought this saying into my life. I used to think it was so corny. But she was a co-worker who I greatly respected and I would go to her to talk about problems at work. Over time we became really great friends. She is like a big sister/ aunt figure. She said this to me one day when I was having a literal melt down. It really brought a great deal of peace to the situtation for me. I don't know if it was the saying or if it was because it was coming from her, but it really made me think. Now when I am faced with something crazy it comes to mind. It is what I have to deal with now I might as well make the best of it.

Long story made even longer, thank you for sharing and I hope all will get better your way. I'll even send a little pixie dust your way for help.pixiedust:

I would love to see to see pictures of your finished projects.

I know exactly what you mean about the hoping/waiting. DH has bloodwork and an MRI done once a year, and we manage to almost forget about it the rest of the year....then about 3 weeks before his appt our house goes kinda quite and it's like everyone is a little afraid to say anything.....then he goes for his appt and we wait another couple of weeks for the phone call. Everything looks good so we go back to our lives for another year. It is much better now though because it use to be every 3 months, then every 6 months. The best thing is that if he gets a good report this year we get to skip a year :cheer2: !!

I want to thank you also for sharing your story!

How crazy/wonderful is it that your situation is so similiar and you were the one that brought the shirt to me!

Thank you again for the design and I will be checking back here regularly to look for your new designs!!

Take Care,
Sonya

P.S. I also printed out your "If you didn't see it" one....that is so my little boy!
