we are wanting to book a town car from sanford the company i am looking at requires credit card even if we are not paying by credit card (cash or CC payment option) is this normal or should i be wary - found them on sanford airport website
thx
:flower3:

Are you able to post the name of the company? I can't see why they would need your credit card details if oyu are not paying by credit card. Or do you mean they want you to give credit card details as an assurance (i.e. so they can charge your card if you don't turn up or cancel at the last minute)? If it is the latter, I can kind of understand that. With certain hotels, even if you are not paying for the room until you check out, you usually have to put a credit card down as a guarantee in case you don't cancel within the required period. Without knowing why they want your details it is a bit hard to judge though.

We used Tiffany Cars twice this year.I booked the town car from the airport to our Universal hotel, and then a surprise limo for kids from Universal to our Disney hotel.I booked it all online before we left home.I also emailed them a few times with questions, and both times i got a prompt reply. They didn't ask for any deposit or card details, i just paid cash once we got to our destination. Both drivers were wonderful, there on time etc.I would highly recommend them:thumbsup2

BTW I was recommended to them by a fellow DISer on the Yacht and Beach Club thread.

theyre called pinpoint my DB has booked but he wants to pay by CC we dont - rate is $165 return (to universal) which is good, it says on conditions:

CASH Transfers – All Transfers Require a Credit Card on file any fees not paid will be charged on card

what do you think??

need to get something booked we go in 3 weeks

Tracy, it seems reasonable to me. I would imagine they only need your details for the reasons I state above. I wasn't able to find any reviews/recommendations for them but nor did I find anything negative.

Literally just booked Tiffanys ourselves after recommendations on here.

On making an online reservation I called and gave my card details as requested but we are paying cash there.

Heres the reply i got when asking if date/time was available, why i have to give cc details & asked to confirm price..

''Date and times are available...
Credit Card info is Required in order to avoid NO SHOWS
Please book online ...''

hmm short & to the point eh???

oh & today i hit the teens - 19 days to go :dance3:
