paying for town car??

we are wanting to book a town car from sanford the company i am looking at requires credit card even if we are not paying by credit card (cash or CC payment option) is this normal or should i be wary - found them on sanford airport website

I have never had to give a credit card when making a town car reservation and, in fact, with the car services I have used you actually need to make arrangements in advance to use a credit card. I would check with FL Tours, the sponsor of this board, or with one of the services recommended by other posters here at the DIS.

I've used Tiffany Towncar from Sanford to WDW. They do require a credit card though. I did pay with a credit card, not cash. But, they are 100% trustworthy. Not sure what company you are looking at, but wanted to give you a recommendation about a company I have used in the past.

I have used FL Tours and did not need a credit card to make a reservation. I paid the driver in cash. Another time I wanted to pay by credit card in advance and had to call them on the phone to make arrangements. By the way, I was very satisfied with their service.

Thanks everyone for your replies i e mailed them (pin point transportation)
asking if my dates were available, why they needed cc details & to confirm price,
this is their reply...

short & to the point eh - very good price (even though they didnt confirm it!!)
