Paying for T-shirts, from the UK

Hey team, I have pre-ordered a Dis Unplugged T-shirt to help with the Give Kids The World charity fund raiser. The problem I have is paying for it. I don't have a US bank account so can't send a cheque and I wouldn't know how to get a postal order to you.
Is there a way you can set up a Paypal account to take payments? Or make it possible to pay via credit card? This will make it much easier. I know there are extra charges incurred this way but I don't mind paying these to ensure GKTW get their full donation.
I have sent this as a question to the podcast but unfortunately it hasn't been answered.
So come on Pete, I want my T.

They can only accept US dollar cheques I am afraid. Paypal and Credit cards were not an option as there are fees involved.

I had a very kind US diser help me out. I sent the funds to her and she sent on a cheque for me. I know a few UK disers have been helped out this way

We get money orders from the Post Office and they can be in US funds, so that was how I paid. I had the printout and envelope ready, and sent DH to the post office for the money order and stamps.

Did you have to pay any duty or taxes when the shirt crossed the border? That's what's holding me back from ordering.

I am the one helping the overseas DISers. Once they get their shirts I can help more of you. I just want to make sure they are taken care of before starting another group.

Nope. It appears to cost DU about $5 or $6 to send them, so I give a little extra to make up for their effort, but that isn't really unreasonable for mailing.
They send them USPS...regular mail.

The most I have had to worry about with regular mail pacakages was GST at the door. It is mostly just UPS (the big brown bully) which takes advantage of Canadians and the "brokerage fees". Basically a fee which they can make up as they go along. It will include duty and taxes but also a fee for crossing the border with a package for you. This portion is not a regulated fee.

I know all about brokerage fees. It was the taxes that I was worried about but it looks like this is flying under the radar. It looks like I'm going to have to get off my butt and order a shirt. I really have no excuses any more.
