We are trying to plan for our OOP meals and have a quick question...

Can we use Rewards Points to pay at the restaurant? Or can we charge this meal to our room so we can use our points to pay for it?

Thanks!!!!

We just got back last week and went to T-Rex while we were there...The atmosphere was cool....the food, We were not impressed. It was just ok but totally overpriced. Many more places to go to eat in downtown Disney that are much better and totally worth the price.

Whatever you decide, enjoy your trip

Don't allow the PP sway you away from TRex. The general consensus is very positive. They have large portions and the food is average to above average. We have always had a good experience. Our last was not as good as our previous visits, but we won't let one not so good experience prevent us from going again.

If you haven't been, it is a great experience. It also looks like you are going this month. If so, print off that coupon that is floating around here.

We are planning on getting a few appetizers and drinks when we go. We are not going to try to duplicate our eating on the DDP (adult entrees for the kids and desserts for everyone) I am picturing a few plates of nachos or something like that. Just enough for a snacky kind of meal and a chance to look around during some slow part of the day.

I think you can charge it to your room and pay for that with points. I think THAT was the question was'nt it?:upsidedow

it to your room. When we went the server told me he had to get a manager involved for that so I simply pulled out a credit card. RFC was a little different too. RFC had to run it through after the tip was added. At least it was that way a couple of years ago.

Thanks for all the responses! We are not going expecting a gourmet meal- we are going for the atmosphere. My little guy LOVES dinosaurs, so we think he will get a kick out of it. I have a friend that was there in August, so I know it is not an extravagant meal- but it is something the kids with enjoy.

My big question was about the points. We are going to try to use our points to cover all our OOP expenses, but we want to be prepared in case we cannot charge it to our room. It sounds like we can, so I am not going to sweat it.

Thanks again!!!!

If your little guy loves Dinosaurs, he will love it.

I had a friend that went a few weeks ago with her 18 month old son. He was scared to death of RFC, so they scooted over to T-Rex and he loved, loved, loved it. The food is also a bit less expensive than RFC.

Like the previous poster said, you are going for the atmosphere - not a gourmet meal.......but I think the food is pretty good myself.
