I am checking into POR on Wednesday. I put down a 1 night deposit. I want to pay off the room with cash. Is this possible? I don't want to use my credit card unless it is absolutely necessary. We will not be using the room key for purchases in the park.... Thanks in advance for the help....

That's how I do it every time. I don't like to use my card either and we've never had a problem.

Have a great trip!

maybe im doing something wrong....I was told I have to be fully paid 45 days in advance? is there another way of doing it?

edited to say: we get the package deal, maybe thats why I have to pay up front, not sure.... Any help?

We were told the same thing!! Booked through the number on the DVD. Have always done it this way...didn't know you could pay when you arrive. Now that I think about it, think I like having it all paid before I get there!! One less thing to think and worry about!! :rotfl2:

Depends on if you booked your trip through CRO or DTC in terms of paying the room off 45 days in advance.

We use our Disney Visa to pay the room off at check in - I'd rather pay the card off at the next billing cycle and have more Disney points! :earsboy:

I don't have a package deal. I think that is the difference. It is only for my room. Thanks for all the good responses. I knew I could find the answer to my question on here!!

They might give you a strange look when you don't want to use a credit card for the room but it hasn't been a problem for us in the past. They just ask how you want to pay off the room and seem to take all forms of payment.

We book through CRO and have the option of paying when we arrive. We have choosen to just call every week or so after we get paid and make a payment to our room to get it paid off before we leave. Which reminds me that I should go and do that.. ::MickeyMo

I always want to have as much of my vacation paid off ahead of time as possible. However, for my Dec trip I booked through the AP BRP and they refuse let you pay it off ahead of time. So, I'm going to use my Disney VISA to buy Disney dollars and use them to pay the rooms off at check in. That way I earn Disney points, can have the VISA paid off before I leave, and according to my checking account at least the room is paid off in full ahead of time with no bills to worry about when I get home.
