From what I've read, all onboard expenses go on the room account.

Since we're traveling with a 3-generation family group, is there some way to pay off our portion to prevent a well-meaning relative from insisting that she cover all expenses?

Hubby and I would like to be able to pay our own onboard expenses entirely, but are concerned because we weren't part of the booking process and don't know how the system is set up.

HELP?

You should be able to apply $ towards your onboard account...Depending on what you think you'll spend onboard will depend on how much you'll need to put down to insure everything is covered ahead of time. You can even put money down on your account long before you step foot on the ship...that way..when a well meaning family member attempts to "take care" of things...your things will already be taken care of.

You have to put at least $500 down at check in to cover any charges....then through out the cruise if you go over or get close to your limit your asked to return to GS to apply more $$...Unless you use a Credit card...then they just keep charging. Your able to go to GS at any time durring the cruise and check your account, charges and balances.

When you get your cruise docs, each person doc's includes a form to be filled out providing c/c info for your room charges. Theoretically each person could have their charges go to a differect credit card.

So when you check in, provide your own c/c information for charges made with your KTTW card while on the ship.

Also there's the possibility of going to Guest Services and asking for a print out of your charges, and then making a cash payment to pay off your portion of the charges.

Thanks for the info!

If that is the case, it is good to know that I can go to Guest Services and do a cash payment for our expenses.

THANKS!

how do i pay for expenses ahead of time. I would like to do that to already have the money there to pay for the excursions that i am booking. Also it would be nice to have money there and not have to worry about saving it all till i get on the ship. ::MinnieMo

When you check in -- you can place your own credit card on your account. I sail with friends (and want to remain friends with them), so when we check in, we each secure our onboard accounts on each individual KTTW, even though we are sharing a cabin.
