Sorry if posting on wrong forum please feel free to move to the correct one. My wife asked this morning if we could buy a Gift Card from Guest Services when we check in at BWV and then use that card to pay for our meals. She wanted to eliminate walking with a lot of bills and did not want to charge to the room. TIA for any info.

That will work in most restaurants, including those inside the theme parks and at the Disney resorts. Not sure you will be able to use Disney gift cards at Swan/Dolphin restaurants, also not sure about some of the restaurants at Downtown Disney.

Not worried about S&D, thanks for the quick response, I'll let my wife know when she gets in from work.

Also, if you want to not worry about carrying multiple cards, you can put the gift card or cash on the room to charge meals. You don't have to use a cc to get key card charging perks.

We charge everything to our room than toward the end of the trip (before the bill becomes final) we take all our gift cards, cash and rewards card to the front desk to settle up. We found this easier than trying to remember which card to use.

Maybe you could get a bank gift card before you leave. That way, you don't have to worry about some of the restaurants outside of the parks not accepting it. :thumbsup2
