paying for car/hotel rentals with personal checks?

Not exactly where to post this so here goes..

Can I pay for a Car Rental at the end with a Personal check vs my CC or use my debit card(with the visa logo) I am renting with Budget -- i called customer service and the gentlemen wasn't helpful and told me to call the airport direct but gave me a wrong phone number!

It has gotten to the point where most people will not take checks. They will take your debit card however.

I would not count on being able to pay with a check or if you do, be prepared to wait a while!

That is what I thought about the check - I just was double checking myself. I guess it won't matter if i just look on line a few days after I am home and pay the bill in full. Thanks Michelle
