Paying for Buffet as soon as we sit down

We're fast eaters and I've heard that as soon as you're seated, you can ask for your check so that you get it taken care of right away and then you're free to leave whenever you're done. Do they still wait on you for drinks and such or once you pay, do they not tend to you anymore?

Your server will wait on you still even if you pay early.

I havent heard of any less service to the patrons...But why not ask for your check when you are done your first plate full and before you go up for your dessert..
That way it is there and you can do your cc or cash..
Most of the buffets we have gone to the service has always been excellent..
Especially Crystal palace and Biergarten.

We have asked for our check early in the meal at the 8am character breakfasts and though we did get it they really didn't want to give it to us early. AT CP I think the server was afraid about his tip. At Tusker House and Akershus they seat people in waves and they seem to want to do the same stuff for everyone in order so they had to skip something to get us our bill and then once others see ours they started asking for theirs too so it seemed to really mess up the pacing. I know that I have also had a few times where I stopped getting coffee and water refills when asking for my check early even though I tipped 20% plus whatever to even it up. Now unless I'm really stressed I try to wait it out and ask a bit later

We always ask for it immediately when we have a 8am ADR, and all of our servers have been very gracious and understanding and bring it within 10 minutes or so. We have never been ignored (as is clearing plates, drink refills etc) once we pay it either.

I have done this at Crystal Palace, Cape May, Tusker House, H&V and Chef Mickey's.

That's been our experience as well - we ask for our check as soon as the waitress takes our drink order. Works at Akershus too

We also ask for our check early. It's faster and easier. We than dictate our exit.

We only did it at Akershus on our last morning, so we could trot to Soarin' for FPs! That was the only ride we wanted to do that we couldn't find a good FP time or a "not so long" line all week.

The CM looked at us a little funny, but it wasn't a problem. We had already seen the exact same princess line-up at CRT earlier in the week. We still waited to meet the princesses at Akershus since we were near the beginning of the tables greeting.
