Paying for a CP Package

I'm getting ready to reserve a CP Package for the first time and have some questions. I will be on the DxDDP so I want to use 2 credits to pay for it. When I make the reservation next week, will I have to use a credit card? If so, will they charge it or just use it as a hold? If they have to charge something, can I use a Disney Visa Reward card instead of a credit card? Also, what is the cancellation policy?

You will have to give a credit card number to hold the reservation. This is so they can charge you a "no show fee" if you don't cancel the reservation and don't show up. Has to be a credit card, as they won't charge it unless and until you don't show up. They won't let you use a reward dollar card because by the time they have to charge it, there might not be any reward dollars left on it. I've found that in the past it has been a 48-hour cancellation.
