Paying DVC off question

Can I send a cashier's check for the full amount to DVC when it comes to paying my DVC loans off?

I do not see any reason, why they would not accept a bank check. The amount should be the same as in the online loan section payoff total. I would call memebr accounting to get a final word before getting a bank check. maybe the payoff can be done online

That'd be great if i could do it online but my debit card has a limit on it that I can use per day (I think its like 4000). I'd rather just make check out for the full amount and send it certified mail.

If you have a credit card that earns points, use that then pay off the credit card the next day

You can usually get a one-day/one-transaction lift on your upper limit by calling your bank. I have done it many times.

Better yet... If you have a amex costco card and plan to pay in full, use it and get 2% cash back. Timeshare purchases count as lodging!

I have a Chase rewards debit card that I use for everything. It'd be nice to pay the whole thing off with it but the amount is just FAR to large to go on my debit card

You could do it a chunk at a time, every few days (when the online system lets you). Earn that $1 for each $200 you pay....

Then again, depending on how long it takes, you might pay more than that in interest while waiting to pay it all, LOL.

I used my chase rewards credit card for full payment BLT contract, I did it over 5 days. I put the max. on the card, paid the card off with the $ I had put away for dvc, then waited a day for payment to process and did it again until paid in full and I got all the rewards which gave me enough for 1 r/t airline ticket to Disney!

Congrats on paying your dvc off it is a great feeling!
