I know this topic has been brought up before DH and I are new to the Chase Disney card. If you pay your annual dues on the card do you get 6 months free intrest? How many Disney dollars does it take to get a hotel stay and what resort?

I thought the 6-mos interest free only applied to DVC purchase...not paying annual dues, but I could be mistaken. It might depend on which promo was running when you applied for the card. Not sure about your question regarding the hotel stay because normally you would earn rewards that could be applied to any Disney property...so you could basically stay anywhere that you have enough reward dollars to cover. For us, we save up our rewards each year and use them to pay our annual maintenance fees.

So the disney dollars is like cash that disney will use for anything at disney. I did not realize you can use the dollars to pay your dues. Thanks for your quick reply.

I don't have enough rewards dollars to pay our dues, yet. But I do have a Disney Visa. Can you pay the dues with the Visa?

You can pay part of the mf with your disney dollars. They issue you a debit card and they load the points onto that card. The card has a number just like a credit card. You give disney the number of the debit card and they access the amount of points on that card. They deduct that from the mf and you can pay the balance with the disney visa credit card. Of course you get points for using the card.

Hi Just wanted to ask a question about the DVC purchase/add on and putting it on your Disney Visa. I thought I had read somewhere that you could do that and get 6 months interest free too...but I don't know where I read or heard that could someone confirm that. I would like to add on and do that but like to see it be confirmed. Thank you. Hope I explained it ok. Carol :earsgirl:

I guess that is the promo I saw , but when you read it you have to apply for the Dinsey Visa card , new member.....I already have 2, don't think they'll let me get another card. Bummer but I do think they have some other deal in the bill this month, I'll go check. Thank you so much for answering. Carol :earsgi
Edit...After reading it again, #3 on the ad maybe it is for any add on up to 2500 after you are approved?????? I don't know I wonder if I call or email them I could find out. Has anyone done this? Thanks

Thank you sooo much. Carol :earsgirl:

Yes you are correct but it went O.T. real fast with add-ons .you can pay your dues with the card ( NO 0% ) .
you can get the 0% /6months on downpayment or add-on up to $2500 or 10 %.

I know you're probably trying to pay your dues and get more Disney Dollars so you're asking about the 0%. But, keep in mind that if you have DVC autodeduct your dues monthly, there is no interest charge either.

Another tip I've seen mentioned, if you load your Disney Dollars onto the card you use to "spend" them, they will expire at the end of that year. Just be sure you know when and where you plan to spend before you take them out of the account and load them on the card.

I am not familiar with any of the special offers mentioned so far in this post, but I did notice that the OP was talking about the new CHASE Disney card, and others are talking about the Disney Visa, which has been around for a little while. These are 2 different entities, right? If one of these credit card companies has a special offer, you could not use the other card to participate.

There's only one Disney Visa. Chase bought Bank One.
