paying cash

We'll be staying at POR soon. I know that normally you have to give a credit card when you check in, no problem with that. We'd prefer to pay any extras we incur in cash at the end of the trip. Is this possible, give them the credit card details at the beginning but settle the bill with cash?

I think so. Last year we spent a night at Pop and wanted to pay for the whole thing with our Disney Dream Rewards Dollars, so the night before checkout we went to the front desk and settled up. I imagine you could do the same with cash.

You don't have to put a credit card on your room if you don't want to. I normally pay everything in cash and do not charge back to the room. If you want to use your room key to charge, you will need to put a credit card on your reservation.

At each resort there is a level at which they will actually charge your card - the level is based on the value, moderate, deluxe levels at Disney.

I'm not sure of the exact dollar figure but lets say at the values it is $500.00 - if you charge a total of $500.00 at some point before your trip is over they will charge that amount to your card in effect "clearing" what you have on account to your room.

Cash??? What is that?? Yes they take it as final payment. Best to have a credit card on file in case you want to use the internet in the room if you bring your laptop just my two cents. But I always put down a credit card so I can charge back to room & then pay up at the end of stay.
