paying cash for a member cruise

Hi, I own points bought on the resale market in 2012 so I have a member card but can't use my points for a cruise. Two questions: (1) can I pay cash for a member cruise? (2) what happens if I need need cancel the reservation? Can I get a refund?

It is possible to pay cash for a member cruise, (we've done it), and refund is available up to 90-120 days out, depending on the cruise. But the real question is whether your membership qualifies for the cruise. They may have changed the rule, but there was a time when it did not.

Thanks for the info on refunds. Anyone knows if I qualify? I guess I'll call MS and figure it out!

I guess I have my answer - according to wdinfo : "If a Member wishes to pay entirely in cash, they must still own at least one Contract with Ownership Interests purchased directly from Disney."
