Do we have to pay to park at wilderness campground if we want to rent a golf cart to ride through the Christmas decorations? Or if we want to eat at Boma do we have to pay at AKL?
Thanks in advance!

You won't be able to do that at Ft. Wilderness any more. About 2 weeks ago, they have restricted parking at Ft. Wilderness for registered guests only due to the construction of the new DVC Resort next door.

There will be no fee to park at AKL.

No, there’s no charge for self-parking at Disney resorts. Some resorts offer valet parking (AKL does, FW does not), and there is a charge for that if you wish to use it.

Thanks for the info!
How long is parking restricted to registered guests at the wilderness campground? We were looking forward to renting a golf cart and checking out the decorations this Thanksgiving instead of doing the parks that day. Bummer!!!!

I am confused. On the WDW website, it says “Effective for new reservations made March 21, 2018 and thereafter, standard overnight self-parking is available to registered Guests for a fee of $19 per night”. So, day visitors pay nothing, but Guests pay $19???

Is it still ok to park at wilderness lodge if you aren’t a registered guest and walk down to the marina to take the boats out?

You can still take Disney transportation to Fort Wilderness. Leave your car at your resort and head out on Disney transportation

We are at Disney world now. Last Saturday we wanted to walk around by the board walk. We are staying at Pop and they would not let us park there without a dining reservation. Told us we had to go park at ticket transportation and take a bus.

Parking at the BW is really limited with conventions and the Inn and Villas. WL might be a bit easier, but they could still tell a guest they can't provide parking to visit and not dine or stay overnight.

There are no resort busses at the TTC. You could have parked at the Studios and walked or boat.
