We are going in November and have a balance due of $2500 Sept 1st.

Is it smarter to pay off using Disney Visa for rewards or going to Target and purchasing Disney gift cards with Target red card and getting 5% off the cards?

I just got the Visa a few weeks ago, so I am not sure. Thanks in advance!

If you have the $2500, you could use the Red card at Target for 5% off - Savings $125.00. Then pay the Target card off with the cash. I don't know if Target card offers so many months same as cash deal.

If you don't have the $2500, you could use the Disney card get 1% back in Disney rewards and then have 6 months no interest to pay. $25 in Disney rewards plus no interest 6 months - $416.67 per month.

If I had to charge the balance and could afford the $416 per month, I would use the Disney card. And if I couldn't afford the $416 per month to get it paid off with no interest, I would use whichever card has the lower interest rate.

Thanks. I was looking to pay it off beforehand, so I will go with the Disney cards. Is there a limit of how much you can buy a Disney card for at Target at one time?

Just another suggestion, do you have a grocery store near you that offers extra fuel points with gift card purchases. If so buy gift card with your disney visa that way save you save on gas, pay off your trip, and earn more rewards money on the card at the same time.

Right, I am aware but I was asking because the OP was asking about limits for using it to buy the Disney gift cards which will vary depending on which card they have.

Mine is a target Red Card credit card, not debit.

Then no you should not have any problems at all getting as many as whatever your credit limit is.

It is not the Disney gift cards that has a limit but rather the debit redcard. The problem is everyone has a different limit and they won't divulge what that limit is. When I went to buy ~$1,600 worth of giftcards last year with my debit card it was declined but they called the redcard hotline and they approved it to be manually entered after looking at my purchase history.
