Remember that movie?
The book is MUCH better than the movie, isn't that usually the case?
I felt inspired by the book and got a chance to put my feelings into action last week!
It's a long story but we had an extra car to get rid of. It's a Taurus, 6 years old, it's really squeaky, the AC doesn't work, and the radio doesn't work either.
It doesn't have a lot of miles on it though and it's got a nice new paint job.
I don't know what we could have sold the car for. We are having financial difficulties and every little bit helps.
But we know a woman who desperately needed a car to get to and from work.
We gave her the car.
I told her about the book and movie (she hasn't seen it) and asked her to keep her eyes open for a chance to " Pay it Forward".
When I tell people about this, their first reaction is always something like, "It'll come back to you. You do something good and something good will happen to you."
That's not the point of "PAY IT FORWARD".
It's about making the world a better place!
Imagine a world where everyone was doing good things for other people!
It's hard to imagine, I know.
If you haven't read this book, I recommend it. It's not Pulitzer Prize material, but it makes you think.
