Pay for Upgrade?

Does anyone know if you can pay to upgrade your room which was reserved through points. If I use my points for a studio can I pay the difference and get a 1 bedroom?

I am not positive but I believe the answer is no

you can get a night(2,3 4 etc) for cash but you can not upgrade from a studio to 1 bdrm booked from points the only way to do that is to book with points a 1bdrm or book part of your trip with points and part with cash and connect the ressies if you need to do cash for part of the stay because of a point shortage.

yasuern is correct. You cannot upgrade using cash for a stay reserved using points. If available, you could upgrade to a 1BR using the difference in points though. It is pretty rare for a complimentary upgrade at DVC resorts when staying on points. It does occasionally happen if a room is taken out-of-service for maintenance issues and does happen with cash reservations made thru CRO, but not too often with DVC point reservations.

Just use your points to book the 1 bdrm and then pay cash for your additional nights in the 1 bdrm that your points won't cover.
