pay for transportation use?

I originally have a timeshare with Marriot, and we were able to book BCV through interval. They told my mom on the phone that there would be a 95 dollar charge to use the transportation since we were not DVC members. Is this true? We didn't read any information about that in our confirmation, but I don't want to go to the hotel and have to pay for something without saving the cash for it. : ( So now Im paranoid of whether this is even true.

Has anyone heard of this?

This is actually an exchange into Disney fee, and covers a bunch of stuff, including the use of Disney transportation. We DVC members don't pay it, as it is part of our Maintenence fees. Other timeshares also change a fee to exchange in, like in some parts of the Caribbean where they charge a utilities fee.

Essentially, Disney charges it bcs they can, and frankly, you do get a lot of services staying at a DVC resort; and since you'll be at the awesome BCV you will have Storm-Along Bay at your disposal, which is well worth the charge on its own. Your home resort has not managed to offset this fee in the exchange, so you are stuck with it. And $95 may be an annoyance, but it's not really all that much. Those of us who also own at non-DVC timeshares know how difficult it is to get a DVC exchange; Marriott is a preferred exchanger with Disney, fortunately for you.

Thanks! I appreciate the info. I just wanted to make sure this was a definate charge, cause I need to put the money away for it. Do they charge this when you check in, or check out?

If I rember right the 95.00 has to be paid 30 days before check in.
You may want to call and check.
