Pay for a room or rent?

Hello! I am planning my trip back home 10/27 -11/6 and we have a bunch of family going. I am looking to ask everyone's advice since you guys always give great advice. We have 6 in our family then my sister in law is looking to book paying regular price at BW for 10 nights $3800. We have 311 points and are planning on BW Standard 2br our home resort is VWL. We figured we would need to book 2 rooms at one of the all stars for 2 nights @ $77 a night . We were wondering should we look at just renting from someone ( never did that) and do a grand villa. If the rates are $10 a point that would be a savings of about $1200 does this make sense. How is renting?

Renting is very easy to do. You should look at tranferring points into your account from another owner. That would make it easier for you to make the reservation. If you can save $1,200.00 by doing it, then you owe it to yourself to go over to the rent trade board and read up on the topic. Good luck.

You could have some trouble getting a standard view at BWV at the 7 month window,and even more getting a GV. Renting points is not the problem............

Not during that time period.

That is one of the very few seasons that OKW GVs need day by day calling at eleven months.

You could get lucky, but you certainly can't plan on it.
