Per the DVC website It is possible to pay dues with Rewards Redemption Card. Questions: Can this be done even if I don't have enough rewards $ to pay the entire annual amount due? If yes, I am set up for auto-pay annually - so I would guess so long as I make the one-time payment before the due date I should be ok and only charged the remainder on the due date?

Any input appreciated!! Thanks!!

Yes, you can use a disney visa redemption card to pay your dues. I do it every month to prepay our dues with our visa earnings. You can select the amount you want to pay. Not sure how it works with autopay, but you can pay dues with the redemption card.

Yes, as long as you make the one-time payment before the annual auto-pay come out (I would pay several days early to be sure) then only the remainder will be charged on the due date. Ours are set up on monthly bank draft but we pay using Rewards points and discount gift cards several days early, and they deduct that payment from what they take via bank draft.

I was searching the boards for exactly this information.

So if I'm understanding this correctly, I can set it to auto-pay from my bank account, but use a Target Red Card and buy Disney Gift Cards at 5% off, then apply those monthly prior to the auto-draft, and it will not auto-draft from the checking account that month if the amount has been paid.

This is correct, if you have more than one contract, be sure to select that first, and apply the gift cards to each.

That’s exactly what I do. Buy e-cards via Target website, they arrive in an hour or four, I open up the DVC website to Pay By Contract, open the GCs, copy and paste GC numbers and enter amounts for each contract, done!

Oooooh thanks for this! I didn't know I could get e-cards on Target's website. In all the years we've had DVC this will be the first year doing it this way. I was planning on dragging myself to the store and buying a whole bunch of cards, but this sounds so much better.

This thread is exactly the info I’m looking for :)

I have a couple of questions about using gift cards to pay. I have two contracts. I purchased direct in Sept 2020, so my first dues payment is going to be larger than normal:

Contract 1: $386
Contract 2: $75

Can I use:

- One $500 gift card to pay both contracts, by inputting the same GC number for each contract?
- Or should I input separate gift cards for each contract? The Target GC increments jump from $200 to $500 – would I be able to input two $200 GC’s for Contract 1?
- For Contract 2, I’d use a $100 GC.

Thanks in advance for all the help!!

Actually, it's even easier than that. You click on Pay By Contract, and the page opens showing both contracts. You can fill in the amount you want to pay for each one separately, then at the bottom you can enter one GC number (for instance, the number for your $500 GC), click, and it will take the total from the GC and apply it to each contract in the amount you specified. (It took me several months to realize that! :o)

Thanks!! I looked at it but that didn't register LOL (kinda glad it took someone else time to see it too 🙃)

Seriously, thanks! I'm going to buy my GC now
