I'm going this summer for an overnight trip.

Men playing golf, women (we don't play golf):confused3 (what will we do)

If you had only one night there:

Hotel recommendations, with pool? beach?

Dinner recommendations?

All advice and thoughts appreciated. :goodvibes

Broadway on the Beach for shopping and dinner. Market Commons for shopping and dinner.

If you felt like venturing over to Barefoot Landing they have great restaurants and the Alabama theater which has a beautiful Vegas style show called The One. We are going back for our 2nd year in a row. You could spend a good chunk of day and night at Barefoot Landing. They have some cute shops there too.

Funny you should mention Barefoot Landing, that's where we will be staying the week before. We go every year and love it.

Have you ever gone to the gator park? Every summer I say we are going to go there and we never end up going. Wondering how it is?

I have never gone there, maybe because I only go to Barefoot Landing with couples, where the men golf and the women beach and shop, but on Trip Advisor it seems to be a really good attraction.

Alligator Adventure is a great place for adults and kids alike. I learned a lot about alligators and other animals as well. My kids got to pet a tortoise, baby alligator and a corn snake. They have an awesome alligator feeding show as well. Worth the trip!:thumbsup2

You need to visit the shops at Pawley's Island and eat seafood at Murrell's Inlet! After you eat you need to walk on the Marsh Walk! Murrell's Inlet isn't far from Pawley's at all and you won't have to drive through all the traffic in Myrtle Beach! Have a great time!

Can some one recommend a place to stay, hotel on the water, maybe or a B&B?

Also, can you get golf packages there?

Litchfield by the Sea is a golf/beach resort at Pawley’s. You could spend the day golfing, laying on the beach or at the pool and never leave the property. They have a restaurant, the breakfast buffet is good but the best dinner in Pawley’s is at Franks. We live 1.5 hours away and will drive there just to go to Franks. There are some really cute and unique shops at Pawley’s too. It will take at least 25 minutes to get to Market Common, 30 to Broadway and probably longer in the summer traffic. With only one day I would not attempt to go to Barefoot unless you want to spend a good chunk of time fighting traffic.
Other than Litchfield, there is a Hampton Inn and maybe one other similar hotel. There may be a B&B, think I remember seeing an ad for one when we were in the area last.

Places to stay: Sea View Inn, Pelican Inn B&B, Pawleys Plantation, Hampton Inn, all are in Pawleys Island.
Places to eat: Frank's (reservations are necessary) Frank's Outback, Island Deli, Habaneros, Eggs Up Grill, Bistro 217, Chive Blossom, Groucho's Deli, just to name a few. Lots of places to eat.
Things to do: Hammock Shops, Island Shops, Brookgreen Gardens, Huntington Beach State Park
Murrells Inlet isn't very far with lots of seafood restaurants, The Lazy Gator for shopping, The Marshwalk
Most of the places I have listed have websites, just google for more info
