Thursday 20th September
Today is Disney MGM Studios day.
We headed (as always) to the TOT and picked up a fastpass for later, then joined the short queue to ride.
After plunging to our doom, we watched another of Ruths favourites, Four for a Dollar followed by Beauty and the Beast causing Ruth to well up again.
After Beauty & the Beast we were in our fastpass window for TOT so we rode that again before wandering round to Star Tours where we found this t-shirt in the shop, which amused Ruth.
We had lunch at the Backlot Express, both of us having the Chicken Salad, Ruth went for the Strawberry Parfait & I went for the Marble Cheesecake. After lunch we enjoyed Sounds Dangerous, the Muppets and the Backlot Tour during which the heavens opened and Ruth got slightly damp to say the least. Thankfully the rain didnt last too long and the parade went ahead on time
We went on the Great Movie Ride after the parade, another favourite. The Little Mermaid was just about to start, so under the sea we went followed by One Mans Dream with Ruth welling up yet again.
It was now ADR time at Mama Melrose, we ate here for the first time in July and although the food was good the service was very slow. It hadnt changed at all, good food, slow service. It took us over 2 hours from checking in to finishing dessert, whereas usually our meals have taken just over an hour.
I went for the Mixed Greens to start whilst Ruth went for the Toasted Italian Bread Salad. For entrée we both decided on the Charred Butcher Tender Steak
For dessert I went for the Tiramisu
Ruth finished with the Crèma Limone
When we finally left it was pouring with rain again so after sheltering in the Muppet shop for a while when it looked to ease off a little we quickly headed out of the park and called it a day.
Tomorrow its back to MK and MNSSHP.
