Pattern To WDW Ticket Increases?

Hi,
New member so sincere apologies of this is posted in the wrong area.

Is there a pattern when WDW ticket rates increase?

Here's why I am asking:

• Have off WDW resort reservations for April 21 - May 5, 2012
• Have 7 day WDW ticket unused from prior visit (long story)
• Need to purchase either a second new 7 day WDW ticket or two 10+ day WDW tickets

I am trying to decide when to make the purchase of the 2nd 7-day ticket or to purchase two 10+ day WDW tickets (and hold the current 7 day ticket for another time).

Should I:

• make the purchase now because the pattern (if there is any) of ticket price increases indicates they will go up in the next few weeks
• wait a few months until, say around US Thanksgiving
• wait even longer until say in late March 2012 or early April 2012 just before we leave

Ticket prices already went up this year. It was a few weeks ago. Who knows if they will go up again?? I would upgrade the 7 day ticket to a 10 day and buy the 10 day one. It is usually a good idea to go on and buy the tickets if you are sure you will need them. Sort of like an investment. Good luck and have fun on your trip!!

I didn't even think about upgrading the 7 day ticket we already have.

I purchased it at CAA (Canadian version of AAA). I'll ask to see if it is possible.

When you do an upgrade, you'll want to use the ticket at least once first to bring it up to current gate value THEN do the upgrade. If you upgrade prior to using the ticket, you'll only get credit for what Disney sold the ticket for (less than what you paid for it if you purchased from someone other than Disney).
