Patina group birthday coupon question

We will have three adults in our party who are celebrating birthdays and will each have the $30 off coupon (our party has 4 adults and 3 children total). The certificate fine print says we can use one per person, but when I called to make our reservation, after putting me on hold to ask someone else, they said we can only use one certificate per table. I mentioned the wording on the certificate and she said (sounding a little uncertain) that unfortunately, they could only do one per table.

Does anyone have any experience using multiple "coupons" at one table? I am not trying to get out of anything, but obviously want to save as much money as possible and since their certificate policy says per person, I feel like they should honor that. I know ultimately, it will be their decision, but I wanted to see if anyone here has been in the same position and whether or not you "pushed the issue" with them.

It's TJ's, if that makes any difference!

Thanks! :)

The terms state One certificate per person (for one birthday only). Must be used in a single dining experience.
I understood that as one per table during one meal.
Also, it would be too good to be true if they allowed more than one per table in my opinion.

You are absolutely right. I read that, but clearly wasn't reading it carefully! Thank you!

A $30 off coupon that is good for an entire month is pretty generous and restaurant offers are almost always limited to one per table so I wouldn't push the issue personally.

You could go as two groups and get separate checks. When you arrive, ask to be seated together. This is bending the rules a bit but they may allow it if you book two reservations.

Make sure you run this by your waiter/waitress when you're seated. We tried to use two birthday coupons for two parties seated at the same table, paying separate bills a couple years back & It was a huge fiasco! We had spoke to someone on the phone about doing this, had even taken down the manager's name that had okayed it over the phone and it still ended up being a mess. In the end they ended up letting us do it but a manager had to come out and everything. It was quite embarrassing! But the food was great, the service was great up until that point, and we are planning to eat there again on next trip. Just wanted to share our experience with you so you can possibly prepare yourself. Good luck and let us know how it goes!!! :)
ETA: The wording on the coupon may have changed since then? So it might be perfectly fine now? I don't like to bend the rules either which is why we called had called in advance. We could have gone separately for dinner (2 different families) but we thought it would be nice to go together.

Can you use the coupon for the Tortilla Joe's counter service?

The coupon specifically says that you must make reservations for after 5:00 and mention your coupon.

Thanks for the input...I think we'll just stick to using the one birthday certificate for our group. It still saves us some money and I really don't want to stress about bending any rules...I didn't understand the fine print correctly when I read it the first time. Thanks!

We were there over the summer and had two coupons. We just walked in, early afternoon, and asked our waiter if we could use both coupons. He asked the manager and it was fine. He just split our tab onto two bills and had no problem taking them. Maybe we had a lucky experience, I dunno, but they were great!
