Path from VGF to Poly?

Is the pathway open again? I was hoping to walk from VGF to Captain Cooks to eat in the next couple weeks.

It was open 10 months ago when I walked from Oily to VGF, I assume it still is, or did it close since then?

Last report I heard in the FB group was that it is still closed and that was just a few days ago.

I can't say for sure because we did not walk all the way to Poly, but when we were at MK on July 1 the sign that indicated it was closed was no longer present. It had been near the path on our previous visits to MK.

ETA: The sign I am referring to was was you enter the path to VGF from MK at the boat docks. It specifically said earlier in the trip that the path between VGF and PVB was closed.

We were there ~2 weeks ago and it was open from MK to GF, but not from GF to Poly.

They are removing the personalized bricks (don’t remember the proper term) from the walkway. Like they did at the MK entrance a year or so ago.

Is there any way to walk between Poly & VGF that is not the pathway referenced above?

I posted this elsewhere a few weeks ago & received no response ...
Looking on Google maps, I see two possible ways to walk from Poly to VGF. One by the water and a second on a path that crosses Floridian Way (there's a marked crosswalk). Are both of these options closed off?

It was not open last week when I stayed at VGF. We took the monorail to TTC then walked the short walk to Poly from there. But I read this morning (7/12/21) that it has now reopened.

I have never tried that second way so can't say if it is possible or not. I have only used the one along the shore. We are going to be at VGF a few nights this coming weekend so if we feel like trying an adventure, we will attempt it!!!

I just saw a FB post that said that it was open now, it looks like they just removed the pavers and just put black top back for now. I'm guessing they might install some new pavers at a future date.

We were at VGF last week (5th - 8th) and the official walkway was closed. We asked the concierge at VGF the best way to get to the Polly and were told to get a boat from MK. I can't speak to some work-around.

That black concrete is the same surface used at the Poly resort all over. I would not expect any additional pavers to go on top. It actually looks pretty good to me as is.
