My mom God Bless her, can only give me a recipe with a pinch of this a handful of this and now sometimes forgets a few items, but when she makes it, it is soooooo good!

I think she forgets things on purpose. "This doesn't taste like grandma's"

Anyway, please give me your old world great tasting Pasta e Fagioli Recipe please.

Unfortunately, my mother-in-law's recipe tastes like warm dishwater! I use Giada's recipe from Foodnetwork.com. My 100% Italian husband loves it but he also tells me that it isn't authentic (she puts pancetta and chicken stock in it). According to his family, pasta e fagioli should not have any meat in it.

This is our family's favorite~ Instead of water sometimes I will add V8 juice and for the pasta we do not add it to the soup, we put it in the bottom of our bowls, then the soup and then more parm.

I've made it using Marcella Hazan's recipe. Soooooo good!
