Plans are underway to meet at Cedar Point on Saturday morning when the gates open at 10AM as part of our Memorial Day weekend celebration. Like last year, we will set several times and places to meet for those who might be coming to Cedar Point later in the day.

Saturday itinerary:
10:00 - 10:15AM - Meet at Top Thrill Dragster Grandstand
Noon - Pizza at The Corral (located on the Midway near Raptor)
3PM - Snack - Dippin' Dots by the Gemini Coaster
6PM - Dinner - Johnny Rockets

I don't know that we'll do the early entry. We may just sleep in a bit and then grab breakfast. Then head in for meeting up at 10:00.

We're hoping to make a mad dash for the Top Thrill Dragster "fast pass" station as soon as we get into the park. The alternative of standing in line for 4 hours for a 22 second ride doesn't appeal to me. I would suggest that our first meeting place for Saturday be at the Top Thrill Dragster grandstand that's located right next to the ride and just across from the Power Tower.

Hey TC, I just found out I have to work that weekend so unless something changes I won't be able to make it after all.

Grandstand... 8:30 or 9:00.. we will have the early entry, so we will get to see what we can do with that...

I will volunteer to wait at the Top Thrill Dragster Grandstand until 10:15AM. I'll get there as soon as I can, hopefully in time to get a handstamp for that ride.

I am still contemplating where else we should plan to meet. Last year we had pizza at the place underneath the Raptor and had dinner at the Midway Market.

I'm looking for suggestions as to when and where we should meet and/or eat. The other thing that I learned last year is that sometimes it is very hard to get to a meeting place at an appointed time, especially if you have been waiting in a 45 minute line for a ride and have to bail in order to meet someone. Anyone who even remotely thinks that they are coming (and who has a cellphone) should PM me and I'll give you my cell phone number. Depending on who your provider is, we might actually get the technology to work for us.

Serena - Sorry to hear that you might not be able to make it to CP. Even more sorry that you might not make it to the picnic.

I am too. My kids were looking forward to Cedar Point, but the picnic was for me. lol Maybe some other time.

Hey John, I don't think the Freeway booth for Dragster (or for any of the other coasters, for that matter) open until 11 am. You might get a sunburn for nothing.

We have early entry, too. So I'm hoping we'll be up and in the park in plenty of time. I'm pretty sure I won't be riding any wild roller coasters this year, but I'm more than happy to sit and watch.

I just meant I get too beat up on some of those. I can only do so many coasters before my back starts breaking!

Geez Barb. I was hoping that we could ride the stand up roller coaster (Mantis) again this year. NOT!!!

I can't wait to ride Disaster Transport. That is, after I get one of those glow-in-the-dark re-entry handstamps that I can smear all over my face. Who says you can't learn stuff from your kids.

I'll have to think about the Dragster. Maybe I need to see it first before I decide.

I rode Mantis a few weeks ago and I had a good ride. I kept my legs at an angle and it was OK. I'm not sure if I like the stand-up feeling though.
