Hi there

We're honeymooning on the Eastern and was looking for tips and stuff from previous Eastern Honeymooners.

Thanks in advance

Shameless bump for my honeymooning pal! ;)

Hi again, Sam! ;)

We went on the Eastern for our honeymoon and some highlights for us:

1 - The Champagne Catamaran in St. Thomas. -- you've probably read my review of that on groups.yahoo.

2 - We wish that we had put in a request to sit with honeymooners/couples during that cruise. We were auto placed with 3 families with teenage daughters and it wasn't too romantic. :( They were pleasant, fun and nice, though. Just not romantic!

3 - We really enjoyed buying a bottle of Champagne on formal night pre-dinner in Sessions and celebrating. That was really special!

4 - If I had to do it all over again, I would have: (a) gone to Palo; (b) done a couples spa treatment.

I'm not sure if these are the things you were looking for, but these are some of what stick out in my mind.

Did the 4 day magic for our honeymoon. Most important peice of advice for honeymooners...............get a navigators veranda cabin. The semi-enclosed veranda allows for some "special times" on the high seas. It is a beautiful place at night when sailing.;)

We did a three day on a very strict budget (Because it was a last minute add-on after 10 days at Disney). Since that was the case I can't help with excursions or room BUT...

Disney knew we were on our Honeymoon and the first day when we arrived there was a beautiful package on the bed. It had wineglasses, champange, cheese crackers and candies.

We had the mickey and minnie bridal hats and had our pictures taken with those on.

We did the 4 night disney cruise for our honeymoon and had a wonderful time! We did have an outside stateroom with a porthole and that was sufficient. It would have been nice to have a verandah but really, we weren't in the room enough. We spent a lot of time on deck after the sun set, it was beautiful. You definitely must do Palo! We sat at a table with other honeymooners and it was really cool! Disney does a great job treating their "special" travellers! We also had champagne, strawberries, a card and pins to wear when we arrived. I know they don't do that for everyone though. Make sure to tell Disney you are on your honeymoon! You will have a wonderful time!:earsboy:

Aww thanx for the Bump Penny you're an

Hey Melody....... again :wave2: :teeth: those are some great tips.

We did the Wonder for 4-nights in May this year but obviously want to make sure it's even more special for our honeymoon.

Palo is on the list for sure. DH2B isn't really a spa goer, but I am, so I'll go along whilst he's napping on a steamer chair somewhere.

I haven't read about the Champagen Catamaran I'll have to go and look for the report on that now.

I thought that we could have breakfast on our Verandah one morning as another romantic moment.

LOL jjgarv  I think we'll be fine with our normal Verandah ;)

Thanks again for the tips :

Most romantic for our honeymoon had to be dancing on Deck 10 as the sun was setting...while 5 of our kids hummed "when you wish upon a star"! :earsgirl: :earsboy:
