What Eastern Carribean Shore excursions would you NOT take again and why?

I too would be interested in knowing this also, as we are planning our excursions for November.

We cruised last summer and on St. Thomas didn't do any excursions. We took a cab to Megan's Bay with the kids. It was beautiful... like stepping into the cover of a travel magazine. We got off the ship as soon as we could. When we got to the beach about 8:30 in the morning... only about 10 people were there. It was kind of errie but awesome. Within an hour folks started to arrive. By 2 it was packed. I wish we would have done some more sightseeing of the island (driving around) on our own.

From previous threads, it sounds like the Atlantis submarine is a great excursion. We are currently trying to decide whether to book the excursion through DCL or on our own. Someone said booking it on our own is far less expensive and just as easy. Someone else said the DCL trips are way overbooked and crowded. I don't know what DH will decide.

The actual ride is about 20 minutes the excursion itself takes longer because you take a boat out to the sub.

We were on the eastern cruise in April...on St. Maarten we did the Shipwreck Cove Snorkel Tour ...it was nice, not enough shipwrecks to call it Shipwreck Cove but tour guides were great and we had fun. On St. Thomas we did the Sapphire Beach Day and that would have been a huge disappointment if we had not found jet skis to rent. The lunch they served was awful, sitting out in the sun for quite awhile so all we felt comfortable eating was the bread and cookies. Would not do that one again.
