I forgot to look for this my last 2 trips but when I was 8 and went to Epcot they sold these little passports and you go around to the countries and the CMs would sign it in their language and write a special little note and put a sticker in. Do they still do this anymore? I remember Morocco was my favorite because he was writing backwards and I remember bringing it to my 2nd grade class for show and tell. :goodvibes

yep. they generally sell them in just about every gift shop in the world showcase as well as at many of the carts.

note you cannot buy disney merchandise in japan or china.

Yep, they still do the passports! We actually called the Disney merch line and ordered it ahead of our trip, so we could put the stickers in place while on the plane ride down.

The CMs stamp the books a couple of times and then write something in there. Our son had fun doing it!

The thing to remember when doing this to write down the translation of what they wrote otherwise you will look at it months / years later and say "What does this say?" .

We bought ours in Canada. They are right at $10. You get the passport, stickers/stamps and a button pin. When we were there, the craft was to color a picture of Duffy on a paint stick (for a puppet, I thought). The CMs would stamp the stick of the Duffy if you brought it to them with your passport :)

I printed my own from the Creative DISigns board and they turned out great! Check out the DISigners threads for some you can use.

I did this too and our kids LOVED them, it was one of thier favorite souvineers of the trip and they loved that theirs were special and not the same ones everyone else had. We also ended up modifying this great idea from the Creative Dis for a mission project at church with the different countries representated. The guys and gals on the Creative Dis rock, but a word of warning, it can get addictive over there. I ended up making my passports, 3 autograph books per child (star wars, regular, and dining), and about 25 Tshirts for the trip after spending time over there.

I am thinking about this for our next trip. Although I am pretty crafty when it comes to computer graphics lol. I usually make my own autograph books but I thought I would step it up a notch next trip Bc my kids love the passports.

I usually take my projects to staples...they will print them out and cut them down to size (if needed) and then bind the books together. I think last year it was around $15 a book but well worth the money to see the character interactions lol. I have also seen people get a hole punch and just put the 3 ring binder clip in it to hold it together and then decorate that Ruth some ribbon. People tend to get fancy when making the autograph books lol. Next year I am trying something different. I am going to make my autograph books but I am leaving a spot for a 4x6 photo. Then I am going to buy the little 4x6 holders (you can get these off of amazon) and put them on my autograph pages. Then I am going to buy an actual binder to put these pages into. Then I am going to buy Disney related stickers and let the kids decorate the outside of the binders. It will be like a scrap book/autograph book/ photo book It sounds like a ton of work but I usually start on it after I make my ADRs and then I work the book inconjuction with that

I turned mine into a photo book from walgreens by uploading the pictures. It turned out great. They were stamped on with no trouble and a sharpie wrote on them easily.

Great idea!, I'll check out staples also do they spiral bind? I was thinking the same exact thing, character signing on one page and then the facing page would put the kids picture with that character, are the 4x6 holders you mention on Amazon "photo holders" how do you put the the page? We made scrapbooks from our last trip, but his time I want to try to combine signature/scrapbook all together.

The ones I saw from Amazon I believe are adhesive and just stick on. I also mentioned putting these pages in a 3 ring binder, but I don't think I will make the kids carry the binder around everywhere bc that can get extremely heavy...so what I plan to do is have everything in the binder ready to go and then get folders for the pages that we will be doing that day. So if I have an ADR for Chef Mickeys I will keep all the chef mickey pages with me in a folder and then after maybe we are going to Magic Kingdom so I will keep all our meet and greet pages in there as well. Then when we are done for the day I will put the pages back into the binders so they don't get ruined and get the pages ready for the next day. Then when the whole trip is over I will get the pictures printed at walgreens and place them in the correct holders :). I have had photo books done at walgreens before with out pictures from Disney and then ALWAYS come out phenomenal. But like a PP said I want to combine everything into 1 book so the kids can go back and remember their disney trip and all their autographs in 1 place. Also Staples does spiral binding. Doesn't really matter the page size either because they cut the bindings down to size. My only problem with the spiral bind is that is very very easily undone. On our last trip I felt like every time we took our books out I was constantly fixing the binding. This is why I have decided to go with the 3 ring binder this time. We will see how it all turns out. Our trip isn't until March, but once I get everything put into stone of where we are eating and staying I will be able to start on it. The Epcot Passport though I have already started on and I am almost finished. I will probably have that spiral bound though bc we won't be using that book as often. I gotta say though I am pretty pleased with my Epcot Passport that have done so far :) I was able to find maps of all the different countries and I adjusted the colors on them so they look like old fashioned maps and its pretty darn cool, lol. Can't wait to see how it turns out!
