Passports, costs reduced

I'm willing to bet the reduction in costs are only for a new passport ;)

I got excited then until I saw that there's no change to fees to overseas customers

So it's still 194€ or £154 for a standard 32 page passport for us :(

Must remember to renew DD before next September when they increase the fees again :rotfl:

Thanks for the info. :goodvibes

Shame Ive just done my husbands, oh well I need to do mine and my sons after our trip to OZ in March. :)

I was waiting to change mine into my married name as it runs till 2016 but maybe I should do it now!

wow...well I never!:rotfl:

DH is a civil servant and if they come in under budget at the end of the financial year they have to just spend it on anything because if they don't they will get a reduced one next year!!! :confused3 how stupid is that. In this case the civil servants did good and have passed the savings on.
Wish the petrol companies would do the same:rotfl:

totally off topic, but little anecdote about that.

I served in the French army for one year (like everyone my age when it was still mandatory)
We had a fuel allowance for the year, regiment wide. And if we didn't spend it all we would be given a reduced allowance the next year.
We spent 3 weeks driving day in and day out, around the barracks, with jeeps, tanks, trucks, bikes and whatever would burn off fuel, until the base's huge gas cisterns were empty
it was back in 1995 but it's still stupid and still the norm in many "agencies" or whatever you like to call them

Think I will get my sons first passport in sept then :-) gotta get ready for our first trip in feb. Seems to far away :-(

I need to do all 3 boys before our trip in October how long does it take for a passport to come bk they will be renewals so will this be quicker then a new passport and can i levae it until the new costs come into effect of would that be pushing it :lmao:

Matt's came back in a week, Karen got a letter saying they wanted another photo without glasses, I took another and sent it back but hers took about 3 weeks total. All depends how busy they are, they say they are dropping the price after the main holiday season but will the lower price create a rush with people holding off?

Thats what i was thinking!!
My mum joked the other day about us having to go to the actual passport office to get our as we have had to do that the last 3 passports due to me ER leaving it a little too late :rotfl:

That's a nice surprise ::yes:: I've got four to renew before next summer so every little helps. :thumbsup2
