I've been thinking about getting the Passporter.. The 2005 will be out soon and I'm wondering if there's a big difference with the 2004 and the 2005? Should I get the ultimate passporter or the regular one? Thanks! :flower1:

I have the Deluxe (leather-bound) version of the Passporter. It has all the same stuff as the regular book but have inside pockets and little slots to hold ids, tickets etc.

Wait for 2005, parks hours change, some rides are set for rehab, pricing changes. It will be more current.

Enjoy it, I couldn't live without mine. princess:

I would also say to wait for the 2005 since it should be out soon.. Cause it will have all the stuff that the 2004 has plus any new stuff

Ditto on waiting for '05. I bought the regular version my first time and then purchased the deluxe. I love my deluxe and refill it every year.

I didn't make much use of my Passporter and didn't bother to get a new one last year. Even when it is newly published, the information was out of date compared to what you get here and at allears. It was too bulky to pack. No way I would carry it around the parks either. My personal opinion only. Your mileage may vary. pirate:

If it helps I think you can buy up to 6 (could be 4) of the 2004 Passporters now for just the cost of shipping and handling. Check the website. You could always give extra copies to give to the kids to use as their own planners.

You can always check the Passporter website and other sites for updates anyway if you're happy with the 2004 one and just want info on new rides, park hours, etc.

I have a spiral 2004 that has helped me with planning for our Xmas trip this year and I like it. It's got just enough pockets and blank pages for notes. The book comes with some stickers to help highlight things, but I ended up getting a highlighter ad some (Hello Kitty) post-it flags to mark it up. The elastic strap to close the book is a great feature also.

I wanted the Deluxe version but figured I'd use one Passporter per year and it would be easier to keep all the stuff together by popping one "completed" spiral bound book on the shelf scrapbook-style. I think if I had a Deluxe version I would put too much stuff in it and for me the point of the passporter is to keep only what you need where you need it.

The passporter was also nice to put all my info confirmations etc in for the trip. I did not take it into the park with me but each night i would keep all the days receipts in the pocket for that day. I liked having one spot that I could keep everything. It really helped with orginization!!!!
Some info in all of the guidebooks is outdated since everything changes so quickly at Disney. I think it is more updated than Birnbaums and many of the other books!!!

oh yea.... I would wait for the 2005

Depends on what you like. I love getting all the new guide books the minute they come out - it helps me get excited for planning my vacation and they do do their best to keep things current. The Passporter happens to be my personal favorite and I give them as gifts to a lot of people - especially those going to Disney for the first time. I think it's the easiest to handle.
With all the new ticketing programs coming out - any new guide books just coming out won't have that info - so maybe waiting might be smart.

Good luck and let us know what you decide!
