I like to get those passporter planners before we go, and I'm trying to decide if I need to wait for the 2015 to come out, or if the 2014 will be close enough? The 2015 doesn't come out until March, which is about then we need to have our ADR's booked, so I will basically have the whole trip planned before the new book comes out. Is there anything new in 2015 that makes waiting for the new book worth it?

We're going in Sept.

We are going in 2015 too and I bought the 2014. Its okay so far but I think they must have written it in 2013 because there isn't much on the FastPass+ system. I think they still refer to the paper fast passes a lot in the book. I don't feel like it helped me plan too much b/c some sections did feel a little dated but it was fun to use the pass pockets and fill them out. If you're mostly buying it for them then I would say it doesn't matter but if you need it as a planning tool I would wait.

That's a bummer, I was hoping it would go over the FP+ system. I know there's stuff on the Dis about it, but for some things I like physical book to flip back and forth on and make notes and stuff.

Maybe I should look for another planning guide? Are there any others with the pockets like the passporter?

Unfortunately none that I've seen. I'm always on the lookout for new Disney guides so maybe someone else will have seen one.

I was about to buy the 2014 edition also since 2015 isn't coming out, I might do it still and than pickup 2015 to fill in the blanks....worth it? The last edition I have is 2009...

If you buy it through their website they offer a free download of the 2015 edition for e-readers which is immediately available. So you can read the digital edition until the paper one arrives.

All travel guides are going to have *at least* a few months of being out of date, because the info has to be put together in a book and go through the publishing process. So yes, a book that came out in early 2014 is going to be based on later 2013 info.

I bought the binder thing along with whatever edition was out then, and after that I just buy the looseleaf refills of the version I want to get.

If I wanted the 2015 version and didn't have that binder, I would preorder the binder with the looseleaf, read the online/ebook version that they give you free while waiting for publication, and when the paper version arrived I would fill it all in with what I have planned.

If you love the pockets they generally have them available to purchase on their own, but they go in their binder, not other binder in general.
