I'm wondering if I should order the 2012 edition of the PassPorter for my February 2013 trip or if I should take the chance on waiting for the 2013 edition to come out next year.

How far in advance before a trip do you order your PassPorter?
When in the planning phase do you start using this book?

Hi, I'm not sure the 2013 PP will be out in time for your trip. However, with all expansion to fantasyland, you may want to get the newest book. Do you have a local library where you could review the 2012 edition? This would help you with the initial planning stages. Have fun planning, you'll get a lot of great info here on the Dis.:thumbsup2

Since this is your first tripi would go ahead and get the 2012 book. This way you can start planning. Not much will change. As far as the nw fantasyland you can research tht small portion on the disboard or ther site for free. Hav fun planning, that's part of the fun!!

I just found info that said the 2011 edition was released in Feb 2011. So better to get the 2012 edition since the 2013 edition won't be out in time for your trip as PP stated. I would wait till about mid year to get the 2012 book because it should be at a discounted price. Use the money you save for your Disney trip plus you will still have time to read it before your trip. Just my thought!!

Last I saw, the 2012 Passporter hasn't been released yet. Looks like it's going to be later this month or early next. I agree with a previous poster, you would probably not be able to get the 2013 in time for your Feb'13 trip. Get the 2012 and then watch the Passporter's website for book updates for later this year as you approach your travel dates.

thing about Passporter is that they publish updates to the book online. You can read through them and see what is important to you. For example they have an update for the 2011 book that notes Tusker House changed lunch to a character meal. That went into effect In December. They have an update for the 24 hour Leap Day hours at WDW also.
