Passporter for Disneyland? Worth it?

Thanks for the tips, all. I went and looked at one in our local Borders, though I'll by it through Amazon if I buy it, since it's a lot cheaper there. Still not absolutely sold on it-I WANT it but don't know if I really need it :)

Bumbershoot-good luck on your stroller! I have the orange Inglesina Zippy, and like it quite a bit, but am looking for a good umbrella stroller for DL instead, as the Zippy is heavier than I'd like to deal w/on the airplane. We aren't big stroller people-use our jogging stroller and our Mei Tai most the time, but neither will work for this trip.

limace, FWIW, the Ergo worked really well for DS last year when he was just over 2, and the (mesh-bodied) mei tai worked when he was one.

Then again, we go in Sept and Oct, so perhaps not quite as warm as when you're going.

The Combi is out for delivery today, hope it's good!

I've got the '06 Passporter, and I love the way they put it together, so I would recommend it. I also got the '99 WDW Passporter way back when, and found it to be extremely useful in helping to organize my days.

Happy planning. :)

Thanks! Maybe I should go ahead and spring for the Ergo-I've always winced at the price, but everyone raves.

It's a really good carrier. I refused, because of the cost and the "high tech" buckles and whatnot (my first carriers were just swaths of fabric tied Moby-style, to give you an idea of where I'm coming from), until DS was over 2. And until the mei tai, which did NOT have padded straps, was giving me "hickies" on the fronts of my arm/chest/front-of-armpit area (where the straps come forward if you're not crossing them over your chest?).

I will tell you though, we DID rent a stroller both years we went. DS was in it for a few minutes, and OK with it, the first trip when he was 1, and then we parked it for Small World. But he wasn't in it much last year at 2ish. This year we know he won't be in it much, but his shoulders were squished in the rental last year, we figured it would be worse this year, that's why we got the Combi. Now that he's about 38 inches now (and who knows how much taller in the next 4 months) and I'm only 63 inches, it's NOT easy to Ergo him around anymore! :rotfl2:

But it was great, once I caved to the pressure, while it lasted.

By the way, regarding the Passporter, I was doing one last "pass" asking hubby if there was anything else he might want with the GC we had for amazon, and...he requested a little baseball glove for DS, because DS was unhappy that DH's glove was too big for him to use. So we got a little Mizuno glove, instead of the Passporter.

I'm sure we'll pick it up later, just not right now. :upsidedow

Well -
I FINALLY heard back from Amazon this morning, about the 2007 Passporter that I ordered on the 23rd of April (the day before I found this thread!)...
They told me that it will now be shipping on March 3, 2008, and will I please approve this!! NO - since we are going to DL in August of this year! Now I see that Amazon no longer has the 2006 version of the Passporter available on their website (at least they didn't last night!). I hate to pay full price for anything, so will now how to figure out how to get the old Passporter at a discount! :confused3 Maybe from their website...not as cheap as Amazon, but less than Borders or Barnes and Noble!

Maybe they were just moving things around, figuring out which one needed to be changed, when you looked? I think this "first edition" one is the last one they published.

Looks like it, as the ISBN, 1587710048, is the same as shown on the Passporter website page. :) Go grab it!

Thanks Bumbershoot - that is it! Amazon must have been juggling stuff when I checked.
Kudos to Amazon, though. W/o the Passporter, my order was only $10.00, and they STILL gave me the free shipping, so I can't complain about that! Now will have to go back and do yet another order (my 4th in the last couple of weeks!). Just need to find something else to go along with the old Passporter! :surfweb:
