Is the Passporter book a really good tool for planning a trip? We are taking our two sons (9 & 7) on their first family trip (oldest has been once with grandma) in November and want to give them the best trip possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

THanks

I really like the guide. good information about the resorts, parks and restaurants. I also like the pockets and worksheets. They are good for keeping up with all the conf. numbers from ADRs. some may not be necessary, but the early breakfast ones in the parks are almost always are. It also is nice to get the lowdown on ways to make the trip smoother.

This is my favorite guide. We've been to Disney 12 times and since I've found the Passporter (about 5 years ago) I can't go with out it. Their Disney cruise is equally helpful.

Nice amount of info, place to organize, worksheets to plan... it is really a great tool. If you sign up on their boards you get a discount. (I think 30%)

Plus, the pockets give prompt to help you remember your trip such as...
Best part about today was.... Today we tried.... etc.

Really, you won't regret buying one.:)

I love it, too. Buy one every year! I recommend you using it. I even loan my Passporter out to my co-workers. You won't regret getting it.

passporter boards sells them. Its like a forum like this and when you sign up for their forum.. you can get a discount on the passporter.

Barnes and noble, amazon any book store carries them really!

I was thinking about getting one. I have been to Disney a ton and don't really need one.. but they look like fun and are great for jotting down notes for each day and keeping track of ADRs etc!

I love the Passporter, but I also love the Unofficial Guide so you may want to take a look at it also. You can usually find a fairly recent copy of UG (maybe not the current year) at the library. I have never found Passporter there though. The are both very good but in different ways.

I have seen the Passporter at all major bookstores, I was just looking at it at Borders the other day. I especially loved the Passporter for the Disney Cruise Line. As DCL expands their offerings and the number of ships I think it will become an even more valuable resource for the cruises.

I love Passporter. The way that it is organized is really helpful, and as a scrapbooker I love the pockets and the different places to put down important information and impressions from the trip. We've been to WDW 10 times in the last few years, and I no longer need a map, BUT I still always buy an updated Passporter each year.

Thanks for all your help and suggestions. We already have the Unofficial Guide (2010) and it has a lot of good tips so we will probably get a passporter to help us stay organized.

It's also nice to look back on your vacation when things are all over. Every time we have gone to Disney we have a Passporter with our plans, receipts, etc. My wife and I were just looking at our Passporter from our first trip in 2006 - it really helps with bringing back great memories.

I used it on my first MAJOR trip in 2006. It saved me a few times. I love having all the confirmation numbers and times/places where we were to eat. It fit easily in my back. I already bought mine for our next trip. One lesson I did learn last time. Make all your entries on specif date envelopes in PENCIL!!! If you do it in pen make sure it is erasable pen or buy white out. When you make dining reservation you will need it.

I'm not a Passporter fan for WDW, but the Passporter Cruise guide is the best one for DCL.

We love our Passporter and buy a new one every time we are planning a trip. Lots of great info. :thumbsup2

We love our Passporter. It gives us a place to put confirmation #s, plan out our days in the parks, and we go back to the room at the end of the day and write down our memories from the day.

Don't do a trip without it. Before "passporter" I bought the " Disney Unofficial guide" and subscribed to Tour guide Mike but I now only buy the\ passporter. I also order additional pockets as we go for 2 weeks at a time. I just carry the daily pocket in my Bagalinni.
My dh likes "Tour guide Mike" but since we have been so many times all I need from Tour guide mike are the best days and parks guide....I wish he had a mini subscription deal.
I purchased the Deluxe Passporter and Purchase a new refill for each trip.

is it a deluxe passporter. I want to take the pages out of mine (spiral bound) but I can't figure out how to do it. It would be so much easier if I could.

Can't say enough about Passporter. --- And, the Unofficial Guide is great. I read the Unofficial Guide in little spurts, it is A LOT to take in. I must admit that I can't get enough about information when it comes to Disney. Love AllEars.net too.

Back to Passporter, for once we actually used the pockets in back to help with keeping memories. We just got back 3 weeks ago so I let you know how much it really helps when we put the scrapbook together. When I say "we" I pretty much mean the DW. I generally stand back and watch in amazement as she works her magic. I just have to nod and agree with placement and make general statements.

My first passporter was spiral bound and I didn't want to tear out the passpockets so I ordered extras.
I purchased the deluxe as I print everything on half size sheets and hole punch them for my passporter as well as take the refills and only put in the pages and passpockets I need.
I guess you could tear out the pages .
