At Seaworld today. I have a Platinum Pass, and had to show an ID to get free parking. They said it was a new policy.

Don't know why, but i would guess that perhaps too many people with Funcards (no free parking) were 'borrowing' a passport from someone else to get free parking.

I have been asked every trip for the last several months for an ID.

I wasn't asked when I was there 4 weeks ago, so it's new to me.

(I did search to see if there was a thread on this and didn't find one.)

No worries, I think it is one of those varying policies they are really starting to crack down on. I know I have had the same pass for 5 years, but since about October I have been asked for ID each time. I don't mind-I was kind of surprised the first time LOL.

Also, the sky tower now costs $3 pp for passport members. Used to be free.

I have a Platinum pass and from what I understand at certain peak periods the passport members have to pay and other non peak times it's free again,I was there around Dec. 8th and it was free.

I was there today, and the Sky Tower costs $3 for all regular annual and platinum passholders. The ticket seller at the Sky Tower said it is a new policy that started at the beginning of the year. I was surprised because I expected it to be free with a Platinum pass, especially with it being a slower time of the year.

Really! Wow time to send some e-mails to Sea World.

Yes, really. I'll be there again next week, and I expect the policy to be the same, but I'll post if it's different.

We have never been asked but our passes are a decade old and have our pictures on them. They are old pictures but must still look like us :)

We were there two days ago - ID was asked for at the parking gate along with our annual pass.

We also purchased an annual pass for our daughter and was specifically told -no free parking with this because she is too young to drive.

Was there again yesterday, and they asked for ID at parking. So they are consistent about it.

Also can confirm the $3 fee for Skytower for 1-yr, 2-yr, and platinum passport holders. The regular fee is $4.
