Hi Guys,

Im getting married in Disney in December this year :goodvibes
However im not sure what im supposed to do about a passport? Do i just leave it and fly back as normal under my old name? :confused3

I think that, as long as your passport and ticket are in the same name you have no trouble :thumbsup2

I flew on my old passport, with tickets in my former married name, for a few months after I'd re-married :sunny:

Yes Alison is correct as long as the name on the ticket and passport match that is all that matters. I travelled after getting married in my maiden name and to be honest nothing says you have to change your name once married and many women stick with their maiden name. But I did change my passport for my next trip :)
Have a wonderful time :bride: :groom:

I checked this out too - the official word straight from the UKPA was that you can travel under your maiden name for the rest of your life if you want, just so long as your passport matches your tickets. We're flying out again in october and DW still hasn't changed her passport yet since getting married, so we thought we'd check with them directly!

your passport and ticket names MUST match. you can get your passport changed to your new married name before you're actually married if you want but its costly and you'd need to book in your new married name too. I'd wait until after the wedding if I were you or until your passport needs changing anyway.

But you cannot travel on the passport in the married name until after the marriage has taken place, so not possible to change your passport before you travel if you are getting married abroad.
