last year my husband left his passport in his trouser pocket and i washed and dried his trousers without realiseing it was in there  he told me he had checked the pockets  the front cover now looks very tatty but his laminated picture and chip part look perfect, will he be able to still use it for florida because i know they are stricter? he had no problem using it to go to spain

My hubbys passport looks like it has been floating around the atlantic for months!! It is in a terrible condition (he does use it every month so he has got a excuse)

Although I do worry each time we travel he has never had a problem. (I would order him a new one but he insists that it is fine)

:lmao:Men!

Is it only the front cover? What do the rest of the pages look like inside the passport? They need to be legible. If they are crinkly it will be difficult for immigration to place a stamp in there. How long does he have left on it? I think with the US I would be inclined to get a new one. It's hard to tell because I am trying to create a mental picture of what it looks like but I could be far wrong.

The pages are ok they are just curled at the edges,it just looks scruffy! he has still got six years on the passport so refuses to get another one :headache: if it was me i wouldnt risk it but you know how stubborn men are :rotfl:

As a stubborn man I'd probably risk it :lmao:

:goodvibes

:lmao: I think you ride on your charm Luke!

As long as it is legible, the pages are usable, the document is intact and the identity page (the laminated one with the picture on) is not damaged in any way it should be fine.

I tend to err on the side of caution but then I am not a risk taker unless it is well calculated. Must be a girl thing! :rotfl:
