Passport needed on Mexican cruise?

Just wondering if you need a passport for the West Coast Mexican cruises or if your birth certificate and drivers license will do?

Not required - yet - starting 1/1/2007 a passport will be required for anyone returning to the US from Mexico via air or sea (i.e. cruise).

While not required yet, passports are definitely recommended. Starting on January 1, 2006 they will be required to travel for many destinations.
