Looking for ideas to pass the time waiting in lines that don’t have to do with being on the phone.

My wife and I are headed back for a 4 day stay on Wednesday next week!! Was hoping for FastPass+ to return but that’s not looking likely.

Most often lines are interesting enough for me.

My young adult kids and many other guests had apps called Charades and Heads Up. That was what I saw most often.

You could bring the cards from Headbanz game for the low tech version.

We have the Heads Up app on our cell phones and have played that many times while in line this week. There is a deck that is Disney Parks themed too. We think it’s super fun and kept our minds off the hot weather during the long waits. Another one we like is Game Pigeon Cup Pong. You play back and forth on your phones through text links.

We just enjoy all the details and People watching… I’m hooked on people’s jewelry lol. As long as there’s no listening to Loud chanting/screaming at every turn. YOUKNOW who they are lol .. I’m all good

There are books that are made specifically for Disney world queues. They point out details, hidden mickeys and stuff and have info about the ride and games. I know one is called “lots to do in line”, but that probably won’t include the newer rides. Sometimes we look through a hidden Mickey book too. Just an idea. Mostly now the kids are on their phones though, now they do the Disney play app.

We plan to do Best Brackets where we pitch each ride in the park we are in against another, kind of like the NCAA brackets but for rides. Then we can move on to restaurants or snacks if we have time. It will get my teens to pull their heads out of their phones but it may start some passionate fights over Space Mountain vs Big Thunder.

We look for Hidden Mickeys and play 20 Questions--WDW related. We also just talk--about what we've already done, what we plan to do later---or our favorite---what we're already putting on our "Future Trip" to-do list! 😄

We also bring some Disney stickers and sometimes my kids will ask parents (as much on the sly as possible) if they can give them out to their kids if there are kids around us.

We talk lol I know old school and all but plan our next step , discuss food , what we have liked so far , disliked .. planning ..
and people watching ..

iPhone Game..Head Up

Disney Parks Play app

We also make up Disney trivia with questions from our last trip (or even earlier that trip)...When we stayed at Polynesian, what was the name of the quick service by the pool we got lunch at almost every day??? (example)

Would you rather.....Would you rather lifetime APs to WDW or spend Christmas Eve in Cinderella Castle for one night? (example)

Last trip my wife and I chatted with each other, my youngest son chatted with everyone else in line (explaining how to get the best out of WDW from his vast experience :) ) and my older son texted his girlfriend.

Post pictures here of overflowing trash cans and respond to people who make it your fault for not reporting the overflowing trash cans.

Oh wait, that's what I did in line today.

That or study a language. I do a lot of Duolingo in line when waiting.

Hey that’s a great idea!!! Thanks!!! I can see my kids getting into that way more than pure trivia. We also enjoy hidden Mickeys.

How long are you anticipating the line waits to be?
