Today marks 72 days until my husband and I are headed back to Disney World for a 10-day trip!

I'm too excited to sleep!

I made my ADRs at 180 days, I created a spreadsheet with the "current" park hours (still waiting for the parks to be open later than 10:00 pm in July!) and suggested parks for each day, I inputted my ADRs on the spreadsheet, I mapped out which parks I expect to go to each day, I have my FP+ ideas ready, I have been earning Swagbucks for spending money, I read the boards and all things Disney obsessively, I started planning out what I will pack...and now I am not so patiently left waiting with nothing really to do...but wait...and continue to "adult" on a daily basis (you know, go to work, pay bills, etc.).

How do you pass the time until your Disney trip when it seems so far away? Help me stave off reality and focus on happy thoughts!

ITA!!! :wave2: It's so hard to wait ... I love that Disney Commercial "I'm too excited to sleep":-) ::yes:: We are going in 100 days!:hyper: We are staying at CR/BC/PORS. I do similar things to what you do, as well as listening to my Disney CD's (Wishes, Grimm Grinning Ghosts). I think that hanging out here on the Dis and checking out menus help to pass the time. I like to read reviews on the resorts that we are staying at and decide what my room requests will be. Good luck planning:goodvibes

I think we're at 76 days. And I won't have any problem at all passing the time.

I can start with 190 Precalculus final exams to grade in a week and a half.

And then there are the 41 remaining letters of recommendation for next year's seniors awaiting my attention.

My husband is still recovering from 11 days in the ICU. And he can't drive for 5 months as a result of the seizures that put him there. So I'm the designated driver for the time being.

And I'll have to go to court to fight the red light camera I got as a police car escorted me to the ER, following the ambulance my husband was in. You can see the police car in the picture; the ambulance must be in the preceding frame. The officer driving it happened to be a friend-- we were both shocked when he turned up in my living room that night. So I may ask him to write a note verifying that he was escorting me to the ER.

And getting my son to PA for both a placement exam and orientation before next fall's college start.

And his graduation, and the graduation party.

Yes, I'm very much looking forward to this trip. But the time will fly.

We are at 28 days. I have officially ran out of things. From the spreadsheet of planned activities, to the to do list, and packing list. Re-read some posts, outside of that, not much. Just impatiently wait for the day:jumping3::Pinkbounc

To kill time - you can help a newbie out! We are 15 days out from our first trip. Me, hubby and our 6 year old daughter. I've done my ADRs and FP+. I've started working on a packing list, but if I could find a checklist, that would be great! I've got the MyDisneyExperience app on our phones. Magic Bands are ready to go. I did the online checking for our hotel (staying on resort). What else do I need to do?????

I've already posted, but thought to add WALK! There is a lot of walking at Disney, and preparing for all of that walking is a good idea. I like to walk anyway, but I do make a conscious effort to walk every day, if possible, leading up to our trip (I started walking 4-5 km per day beginning in early April for our August trip). While I walk, I can chat about Disney with my DH / kids. Make sure you have a good pair of shoes for walking ::yes:: So, it's good for me, and preps me for Disney! :goodvibes

We are approx 16 months from our next trip (somewhere between end of August and mid October 2017 for about 10 days). I have an 11 week old baby so he keeps me busy but he sure doesnt make me forget Disney. My husband and I talk daily about what he might enjoy at Disney at 18 months old; if I turn on the tv for him its exclusively Disney Jr. (Hubby watches avengers cartoons with him but that falls under the Disney umbrella); and finally, his room is done in a Lion King theme. I joined a facebook group to help people from my area who are planning Orlando trips. I also keep up with all the park news on these boards so that when the time comes it wont be so research intensive.Takes the edge off a little :)

I'm in the same place! Plus 100 days, give or take. :P Seriously, after I made the ADRs and got the MNSSHP, there was this pause of "uh, what do I do now?" I have to wait for the FP+ window, ROL packages to finally make their long-awaited entrance to change my reservations for that, F&W seminar list to be announced so I know when to book our Behind the Seed tour and get DH registered for his seminar of choice (such a good wife!), and extended Pirate's League hours during our party time. I'm still looking for another good pair of walking shoes besides my tennis shoes (no luck so far). I'm waiting for trees to die down so we can really get to walking more. I've also been getting some great work from the creative DISigns folks and making little coupon books for the kids and journals for them to keep notes of their favorite things. The trip is a surprise so I can't ask them. I need to decide on outfits and if I want to go to the trouble of having the kids disney bound (probably not).

"Need" is such a strong word at this point. I find I do my own packing list and just focus on big categories: clothing (I always separate out socks and underwear as they are easy to get left behind), personal care items (hair brush, shampoo, sunscreen, toothbrush, etc.), medicines (I always bring allergy stuff for the kids, tylenol, ibuprofen, stomach stuff, etc.), weather related gear (ponchos, umbrellas, etc.), pool stuff, electronics, electronic chargers (another thing that always gets forgotten), footwear and headgear (shoes and hats). I break it out by person (I pack for me and the kids so I have 3 people, DH is on his own (and invariably forgets something)). Other than that, get ready to have fun!
