Passing Out / Fainting.

Yep, with the stomach flu. I kept getting sick and I couldn't hold anything down. It was a trip to the ER for me.

I fainted/passed out on my Disney Cruise this past summer... lol

I had gotten a bit sea sick, and was couldn't really eat anything without feeling like I was going to throw up. So, all I had that day was a few saltine crackers. I was feeling good enough later on in the day to get dressed for dinner/take pictures.
Well, the all the flashes from the cameras made me feel dizzy... and as the photographer was trying to pose me and my sister, I fainted.
If you've ever been on a Disney cruise before, you know the picture with the deck railing? Yeah, it was on that set of photos. I grabbed the railing and fell backward, almost taking out the backdrop.

It was really scary because after I came to, I did not remember what happened. The last thing I could remember was walking down to the atrium to take the pictures...

I passed out in kindergarten after smelling paint. I remember it getting dark and I was walking around in the bathroom in the classroom and then I passed out.

I passed out after getting overheated at my school's book fair. I was about to check out and I remember the lady asking me if I was feeling ok.

I passed out in the hospital in the room where my grandma was staying after her stomach cancer surgery. It was pretty hot in there.

In sixth grade I passed out while doing a math problem on the overhead. I had a terrible migraine that day and was getting hot. I remember telling the teacher I wasn't feeling very well.

Last November (2006) I attempted to give blood at school and the guy couldn't get any out of my finger to see if I could give blood..I guess you have to have a certain amount come out, and kept trying to squeeze it out and I got faint and he helped me up to carry me to the floor. I woke up on the floor and don't remember being put down on the floor.

I passed out this past Februrary after my last period class. My stomach had been cramping all afternoon and after my last class in science I got up and was waiting for the bell to ring. After it rang I walked into the hall and leaned up against the wall and passed out.

I passed out when I had to get blood drawn this past June in the hospital.

I've passed out quite a bit.

i blacked out for a few seconds or so when i credit carded myself while skating >_<

My friend has epilepsy.

I get severe headrushes, i get too hot or too cold, little black dots swim in my eyes and my legs give way even if i haven't just stood up or turned my head too quickly. My legs give way a lot too so i just suddenly fall to the floor. So i've come very close but nope never actually fainted.

Once and i feel on something really sharp and had to get stitches

but this summer at camp i was sick and i was at the game thing and was feeling really dizzy and i was told to go to the nurse and right before i got the stairs they thought i was going to faint and they almost had someone carry me up but i told them i could make and i thankfully did but i was getting really blurry and i though i was about to go and also when ever i get out of the shower it seems to go back for a few second and i almost once lost it i guess it comes from being tall

I don't think I've ever passed out or fainted, but my sister has. She was having heart or blood problems when she was 15 or 16.

I sometimes get really dizzy and everything gets all fuzzy and black, like I start seeing black dots appearing everywhere. That happens alot, usually whenever I lie down for a long time then get up really fast. And that happened once at school when I was in 4th grade, which was probably from never eating anything for breakfast and always giving my friends my lunch.

Wow. Glad I'm not the only one.
I don't think it's a tall thing though, I'm 5'3 and whenever I lie down and sit up really fast, I get dizzy too.
It's all the blood rushing in your body.

Is anyone anemic here?
I know I was borderline anemic before chemo, and chemo induces anemia, so there's a good chance I'm anemic now.
I've heard that anemia can cause you to pass out.

I haven't fainted but I get light headed and then everything goes black. That happens to me a lot.

Also we (me and my sister) were at my grandma's house and my sister was sat in a chair. She stood up and walked towards the door. She crashed straight into it and fell to the ground. Both me and my grandma thought she was faking so we just left her there. About five minutes later she got up and said to us "What happened? All i remember was standing up, going light headed and then crashing into the door."

She actually found it pretty amusing because she was laughing about it.

I was anemic when I first started to get my period. I was given an iron supplement, and now I'm fine.

I've passed out 4 times.

1- I passed out in a waterpark, it was my birthday (July) and I was overheated
2- I passed out during dance
3- I passed out from stress during Winter Break twice

Sonya, no I'm not anemic. My mom is though, she has major thyroid issues that affects all the hormones in her body. She got incredibly bad periods that lasted over 2-3 weeks and finally had to have a hysterectomy to stop all the blood loss. Well, that was all OT.

Anyways,

I have never fainted before. I go to a catholic school, so we have to go to church everyweek and almost everyweek someone faints. && my best friend always has to leave in the middle of it because she feels dizzy. man. why does everyone faint in church?

I was in the hospital a few weeks ago becuase my asthma got really bad. Before hand, I had some blood work done and I turned out to be anemic.

I have passed out twice before. Both in my basement coming out of the restroom. To get to my bathroom, you have to go in the hallway, through the workout room, and then u hit the bathroom. I went, and as i was walking out, i went. The first time I remember stopping, holding my head, trying to get to the couch and soon as I got into the computer room, I passed out.

The second time I was coming out of the restroom again, and I grabed the wall but it didn't help, and I passed out and hit my head.

Both times I had to go to the ER. Only because when the doctors gave me medicine for my asthma one time, on my EKG it showed a long QT. So, we had to make sure my heart wasn't doing anything funky when it happened. The only good thing about the passing out spells, we know I have pro long QT syndrome so I can live now with knowing the reason why, and making it not happen again.

Explanation please?

And if you're implying drugs, that's simply not true.
I have cancer,why would I do drugs?

I wasn't talking about you at all; I didn't even read the whole thread :p and I still haven't. Just most people that I know of who have passed out passed out b/c of drugs.

Plus I thought I was being funny <----(Please no comments)

i get dizzy, nearly constantly. almost everything sets it off, too. its not because i do drugs, though, its because im one of the many anemics out there. ;)

I always feel like passing out during basketball. I get really dizzy and I start seeing this rainbow type thing(please dont make fun of me for it). It usually happens for about 5 seconds. It sometime happens when I lay down for a while then I get up.

Thats what happened to me last year during volleyball. Turns out, I had asthma. But now I'm fine with my inhaler. =]

But I don't think I've ever fainted. I've felt like it a few times but I never have actually fainted.
