Passholder's Lounge

I don't have a clue...but what I find interesting on my annual pass renewal they mention vip seating as a perk. yet they don't have any annual pass seating anywhere I know of!!

I do hope they bring them back.

Didn't they "build" the seating areas & such, just to never open them?

I dunno, but i'd like to find out b/c I'm a passholder as well.

:( One thing I can tell you is that when they first built boardwalk villas, there was supposed to be a lounge where illuminations could be viewed by DVC members. When they finished it ,I guess they found out that they could rent the space out for weddings and other events, so why should they let DVC members use it for free. The idea went right down the toilet . I seem to recall that this was used as a "benny" to help convince folks to buy into the boardwalk.

Last October I tried to use the "VIP" seating in front of Italy. The CM on duty at the rope told me that, yes this area used to be for AP holders, but is now used for other VIP (read $$$$) groups. That particular night the area was not very full and he did offer to let DW and I in to the area.

About the only perk left is not having to stand in line to buy your ticket for a year

I think that VIP seating ended around a year ago last April (2002).
I have seen weddings and special (paid) groups in that area.
Memorial Day last year, we went on the UnDISCOVERed FW tour. The CM offered VIP entrance (not guaranteed seating) into the roped area that night. Only around four of us took her up on it.
Our names were on a list. We arrived early and were lucky enough to have a seat.
Other guests tried different tactics to get in, but were never allowed. We got a lot of glares, just like when you walk by the other guests when you are using FP. ;)
The other guests in that area were with a convention, and there weren't that many. I think by their looks they were expecting seats or something special. But most had to stand.
